Xiaomi has officially begun teasing its much-anticipated Mix Flip 2, confirming that the foldable device will be unveiled later this month.
A promotional image posted on the company’s website offers a first glimpse of the phone’s retail packaging, accompanied by the caption “See you this month”, locking in a June launch for the Chinese market.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will be Xiaomi’s latest addition to the growing segment of foldable smartphones and the direct successor to the original Mix Flip. A global launch is expected to follow later, as was the case with its predecessor, although Xiaomi has not yet provided specific timelines for international availability.
While Xiaomi has kept official specifications under wraps, leaks and earlier reports have painted a detailed picture of what to expect. The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite) chipset, positioning it as a high-performance foldable rival to offerings from Samsung and Motorola.
The device is expected to feature a 6.85-inch main folding display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering users a smooth and immersive viewing experience. Powering the device will likely be a 5,100 mAh battery, paired with 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, making it one of the faster-charging foldables on the market.
Camera upgrades are also expected. Unlike its predecessor, which featured a telephoto lens, the Mix Flip 2 is rumored to include a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide camera, improving versatility for photography enthusiasts.
Additionally, the device is expected to carry an IPX8 rating, ensuring water resistance and enhancing durability.
With Xiaomi now kicking off its official promotional campaign, more details about the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 are likely to emerge in the coming days. As competition heats up in the foldable smartphone space, Xiaomi appears poised to make a strong impact with its latest release.
