Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to take smartphone battery capacity to a whole new level.
While the company is already rumored to launch several devices by the end of this month, including the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro with a massive 9,000mAh battery, new leaks suggest that Xiaomi’s ambitions extend even further into 2026.
According to the latest industry rumors, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone equipped with an enormous 10,000mAh battery. What makes this development particularly impressive is that the device is said to support 100W wired fast charging along with very fast wireless charging, ensuring that even such a large battery can be refilled in a relatively short amount of time.
Despite the unprecedented battery size, the upcoming Xiaomi phone is rumored to maintain a surprisingly slim profile. Sources claim the handset will measure under 8.5mm in thickness, a remarkable engineering achievement considering the size of the battery. Traditionally, smartphones with ultra-large batteries have been bulky and heavy, but Xiaomi appears to be pushing new boundaries in battery density and internal design.
The move aligns with a broader industry trend toward longer-lasting smartphones. Rival brand Honor is also reportedly working on a handset in its Win series featuring a 10,000mAh battery and 100W wired charging.
This signals a growing shift among manufacturers to prioritize multi-day battery life without compromising on charging speed or overall design.
If these rumors prove accurate, users could finally enjoy true multi-day usage, even with heavy tasks such as gaming, video streaming, and constant connectivity. Combined with ultra-fast charging, battery anxiety may soon become a thing of the past for power users.
At this stage, it remains unclear under which brand Xiaomi will release the device. The phone could launch under the main Xiaomi branding, or it might debut as a Redmi or Poco model, both of which are known for offering aggressive specifications at competitive prices.
For now, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the device or its launch timeline. However, with multiple battery-focused smartphones already rumored for the coming months, it’s clear that Xiaomi is doubling down on endurance as a key selling point. More details are expected to surface as 2026 approaches.
