Xiaomi has officially expanded its affordable smartphone lineup in Europe with the launch of the Redmi 15C 5G.

Following the earlier debut of the Redmi 15C 4G in Poland, the 5G variant is now available not only in Poland but also in France, Spain, and Hungary.

The biggest difference between the two versions lies in the chipset. The Redmi 15C 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, replacing the Helio G81 Ultra found in the 4G model. Built on a 6nm process, the Dimensity 6300 offers a more modern setup with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, alongside a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The smartphone comes in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 4GB RAM with 256GB storage. It uses LPDDR4X memory and eMMC 5.1 storage, with a dedicated microSD slot for easy expansion.

In terms of design, the Redmi 15C 5G is slightly larger and heavier than its 4G counterpart, measuring 173.2 x 81.0 x 8.2mm and weighing 211g. Despite this, it retains the same 6.9-inch LCD display with 720p+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Like the 4G model, the charger is not included in the box. The device also carries an IP64 rating, making it dust-tight and splash resistant.

For photography, the Redmi 15C 5G features a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 lens and support for 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera with a teardrop notch, also capable of 1080p recording.

Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS with multiple satellite systems, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. NFC support will be available in select regions.

The Redmi 15C 5G is offered in Midnight Black, Dusk Purple, and Mint Green color options. Pricing varies by region, with the 4G model currently retailing in Spain for €130 (discounted from €150) for the 4GB/128GB variant.

With its blend of modern connectivity, a massive battery, and budget-friendly pricing, the Redmi 15C 5G strengthens Xiaomi’s presence in the European entry-level smartphone market.
