YouTube Premium to include Peacock Premium for U.S. subscribers

Multi-year partnership brings Peacock Premium content to YouTube Premium users at no additional cost in early 2027.

YouTube and NBCUniversal have announced a major multi-year partnership that will include Peacock Premium with eligible YouTube Premium subscriptions in the United States at no additional cost.

The integration, scheduled to roll out in early 2027, represents Peacock’s largest wholesale distribution agreement to date. The deal gives NBCUniversal immediate access to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers, significantly expanding the reach of its streaming platform, which currently serves around 46 million users.

Under the agreement, subscribers will receive the ad-supported Peacock Premium plan. While YouTube Premium members will continue to enjoy ad-free viewing on standard YouTube videos, content streamed from Peacock—including movies, television series, and live sports—will still feature commercial breaks.

Users who want an entirely ad-free Peacock experience will still need to purchase Peacock Premium Plus separately, as it will remain available as an optional upgrade.

The partnership could also deliver meaningful savings for subscribers who currently pay for both services. A YouTube Premium individual subscription costs $15.99 per month, while a standalone Peacock Premium subscription costs $10.99 per month. By bundling the two services together, eligible users could save nearly $130 per year, provided they are satisfied with the ad-supported Peacock tier.

Another key feature of the partnership is the integration of Peacock directly into the YouTube interface. Subscribers will be able to watch Peacock content without leaving the YouTube app, including live sports such as Sunday Night Football, Premier League matches, and NBA coverage.

The bundled offering will also include access to popular NBCUniversal shows, including The Office, Law & Order: SVU, and Love Island USA, creating a broader entertainment experience within YouTube.

Despite the added value, some subscribers have expressed concerns about potential future price increases. YouTube Premium recently increased its subscription price, and while Google has not announced any immediate changes linked to the Peacock partnership, industry observers believe adding premium third-party content could strengthen the company’s case for higher subscription fees in the future.

For now, eligible U.S. subscribers can look forward to a significantly expanded content library when the YouTube Premium Peacock Premium bundle launches in early 2027, bringing together video streaming, live sports, and hit television series under a single subscription.
