Zara Larsson is bringing more than chart-topping vocals on her North American tour—she’s also serving up some seriously bold food opinions.
After kicking off the opening night of Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour in Vancouver, the Swedish pop star took to TikTok to share her backstage dinner—and a hot take that instantly set fans buzzing.
The video, posted on August 5, shows Zara digging into a hearty Mediterranean bowl with curried lamb, cauliflower, chicken, and rice. But it wasn’t just the food that caught people’s attention—it was her unapologetic confession:
“It’s been sitting for a while, it’s a bit condensed even, but let me tell you a secret,” Zara said mid-bite.
“I love food that’s been sitting out for at least two hours. Like, I f–king hate when people put things in the fridge—you ruin the food.”
As the casual mukbang unfolded, Zara’s mood visibly improved with every bite. What began as a “seven out of ten” soon earned an eight. “Let it sit out like a whole day,” she added cheerfully. “I don’t care, I feel like it marinates in the flavours.”
While some fans questioned her unconventional food philosophy, others found her candidness refreshing. Either way, Zara had everyone talking—and not just about dinner.
The 27-year-old is also building anticipation for her fourth studio album, Midnight Sun, which drops on September 26. The title track, released last month, delivers a dreamy, romantic vibe with lyrics like “It’s the midnight sun, kissed skin under the red sky.”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Zara shared that the album draws inspiration from Sweden’s long, luminous summer nights. “I wanted the whole album to feel like it’s a summer night and it never ends,” she explained.
Midnight Sun follows the album’s first single, Pretty Ugly, released back in April. With her fearless energy and flavor-packed personality, Zara Larsson is proving she’s not just here to perform—she’s here to be fully herself.
