Singer Zayn Malik has scaled back his upcoming Konnakol Tour schedule following a recent health setback, disappointing fans but assuring them he is recovering.

Malik, a former member of One Direction, shared the update on Instagram Stories on Friday, days after posting a photo from a hospital bed.

“To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health,” he wrote.

“I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before,” he added.

The singer said he had reassessed his schedule and would reduce the number of shows on the Konnakol Tour, while still aiming to perform for as many fans as possible.

Malik is now set to begin the tour on May 23 with a limited run of nine dates. His first UK performances are scheduled at London’s O2 arena and Manchester’s AO Arena.

Several previously planned shows, including stops in Glasgow, Birmingham and Dublin, have been cancelled, according to the updated schedule he shared.

The announcement comes shortly after the release of his album Konnakol, which coincided with his earlier message to fans from hospital.

Malik said he remains committed to returning to the stage and expressed hope to perform for more audiences worldwide once fully recovered.
