Hollywood star Zendaya has revealed the subtle signs she looks for when judging people’s character, especially while working in the entertainment industry.
In a candid conversation with her The Drama co-star Robert Pattinson for Interview Magazine, the Euphoria actress explained what she considers a major red flag.
“One that works for us at work is how people treat their crews,” Zendaya shared. She added that kindness toward everyone — not just actors, directors, or producers — speaks volumes. “A very telling thing is how a crew feels about a particular actor, because they get to see how people are when the cameras are not rolling.”
Zendaya also pointed out that the way someone treats animals is another strong indicator of their true personality. “I would get into a fight over my dog, for sure,” she said. “Dogs are a good judge of character.”
Reflecting on human behavior, the actress noted that people are complex and layered. “People make mistakes, and there are cultural differences,” she said. “But there are also moments when you realize something is just rude or mean — and there’s also the opposite.”
Zendaya added that perceptions can change over time, even with those you think you know well. “You can know someone for a long time and then suddenly see a different side of them,” she explained.
Her thoughtful remarks have resonated with fans, sparking discussions online about kindness, empathy, and authenticity in personal and professional relationships.
