Karachi, April 25, 2025 – In a major step toward sustainable transportation and energy innovation, Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has officially partnered with Hubco Green (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Hub Power Holding Limited (HGL), to develop and promote electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Pakistan.
As announced in an official communication submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, APL has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Hubco Green, which is fully owned by Hubco through its holding company, HGL. This alliance marks a significant move by both companies to accelerate Pakistan’s transition to clean energy solutions and support the growing demand for electric mobility.
According to the agreement, APL and Hubco will jointly work on setting up, operating, and marketing EV charging stations at selected strategic locations nationwide. These sites will be established in high-traffic zones to ensure convenience and accessibility for EV users. The collaboration will leverage APL’s extensive fuel retail network and Hubco’s expertise in the power sector, combining resources and technical know-how to create a reliable EV charging ecosystem.
The signing of this agreement took place on April 24, 2025. Officials from both APL and Hubco expressed their commitment to a greener, more sustainable energy future for Pakistan. The initiative is expected to reduce carbon emissions, promote clean energy use, and support government goals around climate action and green technology adoption.
This partnership highlights the evolving role of energy companies like APL and power sector leaders like Hubco, who are now diversifying beyond traditional fuel and power generation into sustainable energy infrastructure. As EV adoption rises steadily across the country, the joint venture aims to position itself at the forefront of the energy transition movement.
With this collaboration, APL and Hubco are not just investing in business growth but also paving the way for an environmentally responsible future.
