FBR confirms unchanged tariffs, keeping flagship smartphone pricing steady in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Consumers in Pakistan will see no major change in the cost of Apple’s latest flagship device after the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) confirmed that customs duty rates on imported smartphones will remain unchanged from July 1, 2026.
The clarification, issued under the Finance Bill 2026, maintains the existing tariff structure for mobile phones, including premium models such as the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The decision effectively removes the risk of additional import-related cost increases for buyers and retailers.
Market analysts said the unchanged customs duty framework is expected to keep the iPhone 17 Pro Max price in Pakistan stable in the near term, despite fluctuations in global currency and supply chain costs.
