Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated his 79th birthday by doing what he is best known for—hitting the gym—and inviting fans around the world to join him in a fitness challenge instead of sending birthday gifts.

The Terminator star and former California governor shared photos from the iconic Gold’s Gym in Venice, California, along with a heartfelt birthday message on social media.

“I turn 79 today. I don’t want any gifts,” Schwarzenegger wrote.

Instead of presents, the bodybuilding icon encouraged followers to sign up for his Arnold’s Pump Club fitness app and complete four workout programmes. Those who finish the challenge will receive a free one-year membership.

Schwarzenegger promotes healthier living

Schwarzenegger explained that the initiative is focused on inspiring people to adopt healthier lifestyles rather than generating profit.

The Hollywood veteran said he has dedicated decades to motivating people to exercise and believes regular physical activity can improve lives. Through his fitness platform, he hopes to encourage millions more people to stay active and make health a daily priority.
