Smog to Blanket Punjab and KP Throughout November-December
Karachi, November 12, 2024 – A thick blanket of smog is expected to persist across urban centers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including the bustling cities of Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Mardan, and Nowshera, throughout November and December. The toxic haze, driven by high humidity, low wind speeds, and elevated atmospheric pressure, poses a serious threat to public health, and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a cautionary advisory urging the public to take necessary precautions.

PMD Forecasts Rain and Snowfall in Upper Pakistan on Nov 10
Islamabad, November 9, 2024 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain and snowfall in the upper regions of Pakistan for Sunday, November 10, 2024. According to the PMD, the day will primarily see dry weather across most of the country, but upper areas, particularly Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, can expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and light snowfall over high-altitude mountains during the evening and night.
