    Monsoon Showers and Humidity Dominate: Islamabad Weather Report – July 16, 2023

    The weather is influenced by monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and a westerly wave affecting the upper parts of the country, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

    Saturday: Most plain areas of the country can expect hot and humid weather. Punjab, Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and northeast Balochistan are likely to experience rain, wind, and thundershowers. Heavy rainfall is possible in isolated areas of Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the forecast period.

    Sunday: Similar to Saturday, hot and humid weather is expected in most plain areas of the country. There is a chance of rain, wind, and thundershowers in Kashmir, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Isolated areas in the Pothohar region, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may experience heavy rainfall.

    Past 24 Hour Weather: Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced hot and humid weather. However, there were instances of rain, wind, and thundershowers, including isolated heavy rainfall, in the Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and northeast Balochistan.
