Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were absent from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebrations, opting instead to spend the day supporting their daughter at an equestrian competition in New York.
According to TMZ, the Hollywood couple travelled to Lake Placid, where their daughter Betty competed in a horse-riding event. Lively and Reynolds were seen cheering from the sidelines as Betty secured second place in the competition.
Their absence from Swift and Kelce’s high-profile wedding has renewed speculation about the current status of Lively’s friendship with the pop superstar.
The friendship came under scrutiny earlier this year after Swift’s name became linked to Lively’s legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
Swift was briefly subpoenaed by Baldoni’s legal team during the proceedings before the request was withdrawn. She was never accused of any wrongdoing, and her representatives said she had no involvement in the production of the film or the legal dispute.
Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni concluded in May after both parties reached a settlement before the case proceeded to trial. In a joint statement, they said they hoped the agreement would allow everyone involved to move forward.
Following the dispute, several media reports suggested that Swift and Lively’s long-standing friendship had been affected, with some claiming the pair had taken time apart. Neither Swift nor Lively has publicly commented on those reports.
There have also been unconfirmed reports that Lively was not invited to Swift and Kelce’s wedding celebrations. Neither the couple nor their representatives have addressed those claims.
Swift and Kelce have likewise remained silent on guest details surrounding their wedding, which has attracted significant public attention.
