Cambridge Releases AS & A Level Mathematics Grade Thresholds

CAIE

Cambridge International Education (CIE) will release the results for the AS and A Level June 2025 examination series today, August 12, 2025, at 06:00 BST (UTC+1).

Thousands of students in Pakistan and around the globe are eagerly awaiting the announcement, especially after the controversy surrounding leaked exam papers earlier this year. Many candidates believe the grade thresholds for this session could be higher than usual due to the paper leaks.

Exam Paper Leak Controversy

Earlier this year, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) confirmed that parts of several A Level papers from the May/June 2025 session were leaked in Pakistan before their scheduled dates. The compromised papers included:

Mathematics Paper 12 – One question leaked.

Mathematics Paper 42 – Portions of two questions leaked.

Computer Science Paper 22 – Part of one question leaked.

While the leaks were partial, CAIE emphasized there was no evidence of entire papers being exposed. The board has since implemented stricter security protocols to prevent future incidents.

Cambridge’s Support for Students

CAIE assured that all affected papers will be marked as usual. To ensure fairness, candidates in Pakistan who sat any of the compromised papers have been offered free resit opportunities in the November 2025 session, allowing them to improve grades without additional fees.
