Changan Pakistan has teased its upcoming pickup truck and confirmed an August 20 launch, with the Deepal K50 Hunter expected to make its debut.
Changan Pakistan has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming pickup truck, with the company confirming that a new vehicle will be introduced in the local market on August 20, 2026.
Although the automaker has not yet disclosed the vehicle’s official name, its latest teaser strongly indicates that the Deepal K50 Hunter pickup is set to arrive in Pakistan.
The company shared a teaser featuring the vehicle’s distinctive front daytime running lights (DRLs), which closely match the international-specification Deepal K50 Hunter. Along with the teaser, Changan Pakistan used the tagline “Explore Your Freedom” and displayed the launch date, 20-08-2026.
Changan has so far kept the technical specifications and other details of the upcoming pickup under wraps. However, international specifications of the K50 Hunter provide an indication of what Pakistani customers could potentially expect from the vehicle.
The Deepal K50 Hunter uses a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain, where electric motors drive the wheels while a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine operates as a generator to recharge the battery. International versions feature a 31.18 kWh battery and dual-motor all-wheel drive, producing 268 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque.
The pickup can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and offers up to 111 km of WLTP-rated pure electric range. DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes. The vehicle also has a 2,500 kg towing capacity and 220 mm of ground clearance.
In terms of dimensions, the K50 Hunter measures 5,380 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,920 mm high, while its cargo bed offers 1,327 liters of capacity. Its exterior equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, roof-mounted lights, roll bars, side steps, automatic headlights and rain sensors.
The pickup also features an electric tailgate assist and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to operate compatible electrical equipment using power from the vehicle.
Inside, the K50 Hunter is equipped with powered and ventilated front seats, rear air vents, wireless charging and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A mobile application can also provide remote vehicle controls.
Safety and driver assistance features include six airbags, a 540-degree camera system, DVR recording, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and advanced driver assistance systems.
With the official launch scheduled for August 20, Changan Pakistan is expected to reveal the K50 Hunter’s local specifications, pricing and availability at the launch event.
