FBR Announces Promotions for IRS Officers to BS-20 and BS-21

Islamabad, August 10, 2023 – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has officially announced the promotions of 25 officers from the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) to positions in BS-20 and BS-21.

The following BS-20 officers of the Inland Revenue Service have been promoted to BS-21 on a regular basis, effective immediately:

1. Amjad Mahmood

2. Abdul Wahid Uqaily

3. Imtiaz Ali Solangi

4. Dr. Shah Khan

5. Asem Iftikhar

6. Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan

Officers currently serving in BS-21 positions on an OPS basis will realize their promotions while retaining their current positions.

For instance, the officer at S. No. 1 will carry out his promotion while continuing as the Additional Secretary in the Finance Division, Islamabad.

The officer at S. No. 3 will actualize his promotion as a Member of the Federal Board of Revenue (Headquarters), Islamabad, and the officer at S. No. 4 will be promoted while serving as the Accountant Member at the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue, Bench-I, Peshawar.

Additionally, the following BS-19 officers of the Inland Revenue Service have been promoted to BS-20 on a regular basis, effective immediately:

1. Asim Ansar Siddiqui

2. Ziaullah Khan

3. Muhammad Asif

4. Ms. Adeela Yusuf Khan

5. Rehmatullah Khan Durrani

6. Ali Adnan Khan

7. Riaz Ali Shah

8. Kashif Azhar

9. Naveed Dost Chandio

10. Mrs. Dr. Shazia Gull

11. Ms. Shagufta Zareen

12. Makhno Khan Mahar

13. Wali Muhammad Shaikh

14. Sahibzada Umar Riaz

15. Abid Aziz Memon

16. Riaz Muhammad

17. Hayat Muhammad

18. Ajaz Hussain

19. Abdul Rehman Khilji

Officers holding OPS-based positions in BS-20 will have their promotions actualized in their current roles. For those officers who are being promoted to BS-20 and are not currently in OPS-based positions, transfer and posting orders will be issued separately.
