The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of Pakistan has undertaken a major reshuffle, transferring and posting 45 senior officers from grades BS-19 and BS-20 of the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS).
The reshuffle, effective immediately and until further orders, was announced through a notification issued on September 02, 2022.
Among the notable transfers and postings are as follows:
1. Ms. Zeba Azhar (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of IPR Enforcement (South), Karachi, from the post of Director, Directorate of Law & Prosecution, Karachi.
2. Fayyaz Anwar (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director (HQ), Directorate General on Input Output Coefficient Organization, Karachi (Stationed at Lahore), from the post of Director, Directorate of Internal Audit North (Customs) Islamabad.
3. Ms. Iram Maqbool Aamir (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Input Output Coefficient Organization (North), Islamabad, from the post of Director, Pakistan Customs Academy (PCA), Islamabad.
4. Saeed Akram (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Chief (Tariff & Trade), Federal Board of Revenue (HQ) Islamabad, from the post of Chief Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
5. Malik Kamran Azam Khan (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Chief (Reforms & Modernization), Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad, from the post of Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Peshawar.
6. Feroze Alam Junejo (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication-II), Karachi, from the post of Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Custom House, Karachi.
7. Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (North), Islamabad, from the post of Director, Directorate of Input Output Coefficient Organization (North), Islamabad.
8. Muhammad Mohsin Rafiq (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Collector, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Lahore, from the post of Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Lahore.
9. Syed Asad Raza Rizvi (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Collector, Collectorate of Customs, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. He will also look after the work of Project Director, National Targeting Centre, in addition to his own duties.
10. Rashid Habib Khan (PCS/BS-20): Transferred and posted as Chief (Domain Team IT-Customs), Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad, from the post of Collector, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Quetta.
The reshuffle includes officers being transferred to various crucial positions within the Customs Service, such as collectors, directors, and chiefs, reflecting the FBR’s commitment to optimizing the skills and expertise of its officers across different roles.
The FBR emphasized that officers who were drawing performance allowance prior to the issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance at their new place of posting.
This reshuffle is expected to bring fresh perspectives and efficiency to the Pakistan Customs Service, contributing to the overall enhancement of revenue collection and enforcement activities.
