Thailand’s GPX brand enters Pakistan with the feature-packed Libre 150cc, challenging the long-established Honda CB150F in the competitive 150cc segment.
Royal Power Pakistan has officially launched the GPX Libre 150cc, introducing Thailand’s GPX brand to the local market for the first time.
The new motorcycle enters the highly competitive 150cc category with a significantly lower price tag and several modern features, positioning itself as a direct rival to the Honda CB150F.
Honda CB150F, on the other hand, has remained one of Pakistan’s most popular motorcycles for years.
Known for its reliability, comfortable ride and strong resale value, the bike has built a loyal customer base. However, many motorcycle enthusiasts believe the CB150F has become expensive considering its relatively dated styling and limited technological upgrades.
Price Comparison
The GPX Libre 150cc is priced at Rs375,000, making it one of the most affordable options in the segment.
Meanwhile, the standard Honda CB150F carries a price tag of Rs499,900, while the CB150F with Orange Rims is available for Rs503,900. This creates a price difference of more than Rs120,000 in favour of the GPX Libre.
Performance Comparison
The GPX Libre features a 149.4cc four-stroke SOHC engine with air cooling and EFI technology. It comes with a large 17-litre fuel tank and a fully digital LCD meter.
Honda CB150F uses a 150cc four-stroke SOHC air-cooled engine with balancer technology and a five-speed transmission. The motorcycle offers a 13-litre fuel tank and both self-start and kick-start options.
Exterior Comparison
The Honda CB150F adopts a traditional commuter styling with updated graphics, LED fog lamps, an aerodynamic exhaust and an aluminium grab rail. Its instrument cluster includes a fuel gauge, trip meter and gear indicator.
In comparison, the GPX Libre offers a more aggressive and sporty appearance. It features signature LED front and rear lights, a compact sport exhaust and lightweight aluminium alloy wheels that give the motorcycle a modern road presence.
Suspension and Equipment
Honda CB150F comes with telescopic front forks and a swing-arm rear suspension setup, providing a comfortable ride for daily commuting.
The GPX Libre gains an advantage with upside-down front suspension, dual rear shock absorbers, front disc brakes and aluminium alloy wheels. These premium components are rarely found in this price category.
Which Bike Offers Better Value?
For buyers prioritising reliability, resale value and Honda’s extensive dealership network, the CB150F remains a strong option.
However, those looking for modern styling, premium features and better affordability may find the newly launched GPX Libre 150cc to be the more value-for-money motorcycle in Pakistan’s 150cc segment.
