Islamabad: The weather in Pakistan for July 19, 2023, is expected to be hot and humid in most plain areas of the country. Monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are likely to penetrate the upper and central parts of the country from tonight, bringing rain and thundershowers to various regions.

Heavy rainfall was also observed at isolated places in Kashmir, Northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, and Islamabad during this period.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, July 19, 2023, similar weather conditions are expected, with hot and humid weather anticipated in most plain areas of the country. There is a possibility of rain, accompanied by wind and thundershowers, in Kashmir, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places in Kashmir, Northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the forecast period.

In the past 24 hours, the weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, there were isolated instances of rain, wind, and thundershowers in Upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Khuzdar.

• Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (City 15mm & A/P 03mm), Rawalakot 13mm

• Punjab: Murree 14mm, Khanpur 09mm, Mangla 07mm, Attock 02mm

• Balochistan: Khuzdar 07mm

The highest maximum temperatures recorded on July 18, 2023, were as follows: Nokkundi and Dalbandin reached 46°C, while Sibbi and Jacobabad recorded 44°C.
