Manchester United Secures Marcus Rashford’s Services Until 2028

Marcus Rashford, the talented forward from England, has committed his future to Manchester United. The football star has signed a new contract that ensures his presence at the club until 2028.

Rashford, aged 25, had a previous contract set to expire in 2024. However, after prolonged negotiations, he has opted to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

Last season, under the guidance of new manager Erik ten Hag, Rashford experienced an impressive resurgence. He scored an outstanding 30 goals in 56 games. Since his debut in 2016, the gifted striker has accumulated a remarkable total of 123 goals in 359 appearances for his cherished childhood club.

Expressing his loyalty, Rashford stated, “I joined Manchester United as a seven-year-old boy with a dream. That same passion, pride, and determination to succeed still drives me every time I have the honor of wearing the shirt. I’ve already had some amazing experiences at this incredible club, but there is still a lot more to achieve, and I remain relentlessly determined to win more trophies in the years ahead.”

Despite receiving more lucrative offers from both domestic and international clubs, Rashford turned them down to continue his journey with Manchester United. This decision exemplifies his unwavering faith and loyalty in the club’s future prospects.

With renewed focus and determination, Rashford aspires to elevate the team to new heights. He added, “I can assure you that I will give everything to help the team reach the level we are capable of, and I can feel the same determination around the dressing room. Rashford’s path has not been devoid of challenges. Following England’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, he, along with two other teammates, faced racist abuse due to missed penalties.

Additionally, he underwent shoulder surgery in August 2021, impacting his performance in the 2021-22 campaign under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, Rashford’s form experienced a remarkable turnaround last season, scoring 10 goals in as many Premier League games after the restart.
