Hyderabad Kingsmen Defeat Multan Sultans in PSL 11 Eliminator 1

April 29, 2026 — Hyderabad Kingsmen delivered a dominant performance to defeat Multan Sultans by eight wickets in Eliminator 1 of the Pakistan Super League 2026.

The comprehensive win knocked the Sultans out of the tournament, while the Kingsmen advanced to Eliminator 2, where they will face Islamabad United for a place in the final.

Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat Lead Chase

Chasing a target of 160, the Kingsmen reached the total comfortably with 28 balls to spare, losing just two wickets.

After an early setback with the dismissal of captain Marnus Labuschagne for 11, Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat stitched together a crucial 92-run partnership for the second wicket.

Usman led the charge with a blistering 64 off 35 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes before being dismissed by Steve Smith.

Sadaqat remained unbeaten on 64 off 35 deliveries, matching Usman’s score, while Saim Ayub added a steady 15 not out to seal the victory in the 16th over.

Sultans Struggle Despite Masood’s Heroics

Earlier, Multan Sultans posted 159/9 in their 20 overs after being put in to bat.

The innings got off to a shaky start as Mohammad Ali dismissed Steve Smith early. The Sultans then lost quick wickets, slipping to 36/3 during the powerplay.

Amid the collapse, Shan Masood stood firm and anchored the innings with an unbeaten 69 off 46 balls, including four fours and four sixes.

Disciplined Bowling Performance

The Kingsmen bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings. The pace trio of Hunain Shah, Mohammad Ali, and Akif Javed picked up two wickets each.

Spinners Glenn Maxwell and Saim Ayub chipped in with one wicket apiece to restrict the Sultans.

With this victory, Hyderabad Kingsmen will now take on Islamabad United in Eliminator 2, aiming to secure a spot in the PSL 11 final.
