Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan teases new REEV SUV expected to compete with Forthing Friday REEV and Changan Deepal S05 REEV.
The Jaecoo J6 REEV is reportedly heading to Pakistan, marking another significant addition to the country’s emerging range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) segment.
If launched, the SUV will become the third REEV model available in Pakistan, joining the recently introduced Forthing Friday REEV and Changan Deepal S05 REEV.
Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan has been generating excitement through a series of teasers shared on its social media platforms.
While the automaker has not officially confirmed the model name, automotive enthusiasts believe the hints strongly point toward the arrival of the Jaecoo J6 REEV.
The company has yet to disclose the official launch date, pricing structure, or variant lineup for the Pakistani market.
The anticipated launch reflects the growing interest in electrified vehicles in Pakistan, particularly models that combine electric driving capabilities with extended range through onboard petrol-powered generators.
Expected Powertrain and Performance
Although local specifications have not been announced, the international version of the Jaecoo J6 REEV offers a glimpse of what Pakistani consumers may expect. Globally, the SUV features a dual-motor intelligent all-wheel-drive (iAWD) system consisting of a 130 kW motor at the front and a 185 kW motor at the rear.
Together, these motors generate an impressive 315 kW (422 horsepower) and 505 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. The SUV also boasts a top speed of 170 km/h, positioning it among the more performance-focused REEVs in its category.
Battery, Range and Charging Capabilities
The global-spec Jaecoo J6 REEV comes equipped with a 34.31 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack paired with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that acts solely as a range extender rather than directly powering the wheels.
This configuration delivers a WLTC-certified driving range of up to 801 kilometers, including an electric-only range of 144 kilometers. The vehicle also features a 45-litre fuel tank, enhancing long-distance travel capability.
Charging options include 6.6 kW AC charging and 60 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. Additionally, the SUV supports 6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, enabling users to power external appliances and devices directly from the vehicle.
REEV Market Continues to Expand
The expected arrival of the Jaecoo J6 REEV highlights the rapid expansion of Pakistan’s REEV market. By combining extended driving range, electric mobility, and rugged SUV styling, the upcoming model could appeal to buyers seeking an alternative to conventional hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
