Jason Momoa has stunned fans with a bold new transformation — swapping his signature long hair for a completely bald look.
The Game of Thrones alum debuted his makeover in Chime’s new holiday campaign, Bank Smarter This Season, where he plays several quirky characters in a festive comedy about gift-giving chaos.
In one scene, the 46-year-old actor appears as a bald bed salesman with copper-colored hair on the sides, wire-framed glasses, and a gray wool suit. He’s also seen as a mullet-wearing security guard and a pink-clad cashier sporting pearl-embellished spectacles, each adding humor to the ad’s holiday theme.
“We had a lot of fun creating the different characters and bringing the energy of the holidays to life,” Momoa said in a press release. “At its core, the campaign reflects Chime’s mission to have financial tools work harder for people, and capturing that spirit on screen was a blast.”
The Aquaman star hinted that this project might be the start of a longer collaboration with Chime. “I’m excited to see what we create together next,” he added.
Though fans were shocked by his shaved head, this isn’t Momoa’s first major makeover. Earlier this year, he shaved off his beard — for the first time in six years — while filming Dune 3. Joking in an Instagram clip, he said, “Goddammit, I hate it,” but admitted the transformation was worth it, adding, “Only for you,” to director Denis Villeneuve.
