Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez says she is enjoying single life and has no plans to return to dating anytime soon.
Jennifer Lopez has said she is not ready to return to the dating scene following her split from Ben Affleck, describing her current single life as “fantastic.”
The 56-year-old actress and singer made the remarks during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she spoke candidly about focusing on herself after her high-profile divorce.
Host Jimmy Kimmel noted that Lopez was currently single, prompting the entertainer to respond with humor.
“I am. I should have done it sooner! I’ve been doing it all wrong. Trust me,” Lopez said.
During the interview, Kimmel jokingly suggested Lopez should become the next star of the reality dating series The Bachelorette.
“No. Are you …?” Lopez replied. “I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It’s fantastic. I love it.”
Kimmel continued teasing the singer by suggesting it might otherwise be difficult for her to meet new people, but Lopez remained firm about enjoying her independence.
“I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they’re good enough,” she said.
The comedian later joked about placing Lopez in a house with contestants from The Bachelorette as a prank, but the actress quickly rejected the idea.
“I can’t. I could never. I can’t do it,” Lopez said. “I’m good right now. I’m happy.”
Lopez finalized her divorce from Affleck in January 2025, ending a relationship that had drawn widespread public and media attention.
