Kia Pakistan expected to reveal new generation Kia Stonic in Pakistan: Launch date revealed

Kia Pakistan has teased a new vehicle for September 18 at PAPS 2026, with the new-generation Stonic emerging as a strong possibility.

Kia Motor Pakistan has officially revealed the unveiling date of its upcoming new vehicle in Pakistan. The company has kept the model name under wraps, but its latest teaser has sparked speculation that the new-generation Kia Stonic could be introduced in the local market.

According to the teaser, Kia Pakistan will unveil the new vehicle on September 18, 2026, at PAPS 2026. The company shared the message, “A new kind of presence is about to take the road,” without disclosing further details about the upcoming model.

The teaser image provides an aerial view of a compact crossover, further fueling expectations that Kia could be preparing to introduce the latest Stonic. However, Kia Pakistan has not officially confirmed the model name, so the Stonic connection should currently be considered speculation.

The development comes after the first-generation Kia Stonic was discontinued in Pakistan, making the possibility of a newer version particularly significant for the local crossover segment.

New Kia Stonic Could Bring Major Updates

Internationally, the latest Kia Stonic features substantial exterior and interior upgrades while retaining its compact crossover character. The model measures 4,165 mm in length and offers up to 352 liters of luggage capacity.

The updated design follows Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, featuring a redesigned front fascia, Star Map Signature Lighting, a sharper grille and revised bumper. The rear also receives updated lighting and styling elements, while new 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel designs add to its appearance.

Engine and Transmission Options

International versions of the updated Stonic are offered with a 1.0-liter T-GDI engine, available in petrol and mild-hybrid configurations. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

However, the exact powertrain and specifications that could be offered in Pakistan have not yet been announced.

More Technology and Safety Features

The new Stonic also receives a significantly upgraded cabin with a panoramic dual-display setup featuring two 12.3-inch screens. Other features include USB-C charging, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting and Kia Connect services.

Advanced safety technology includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist and Lane Following Assist.

Kia Pakistan is expected to reveal the mystery model and its details on September 18, 2026. Until then, the new-generation Stonic remains a strong possibility rather than a confirmed launch.
