Kim Kardashian has responded to growing online criticism over her daughter North West’s fashion sense, urging fans to stop overanalyzing her 12-year-old’s style.
The 45-year-old reality TV star addressed backlash sparked by a viral video that claimed North “worries fans with new look.” Social media users criticized the child’s appearance, with comments like “she’s just 12 years old” and “why isn’t Kim looking after what she wears.”
Reacting through her and North’s joint TikTok account, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum dismissed the issue, writing, “This is such a non-issue [crying emoji].”
North, whom Kim shares with ex-husband Kanye West, is known for her bold and experimental fashion choices. Recently, she shared a video featuring her and her friends flying out for a concert, wearing fake tattoos, nose piercings, tooth grills, and colored contact lenses.
The clip quickly stirred debate online, with some fans urging Kim to monitor her daughter’s wardrobe more closely, claiming her looks were “too mature” for her age.
This isn’t the first time the SKIMS founder has faced criticism over her daughter’s style. During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim spoke candidly about the challenges of raising children in the public eye.
“I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” she said. “As a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time,” adding that she hopes people can offer “a little bit of grace.”
