Mercedes-Benz Expands AI Integration in Voice Control with ChatGPT

Mercedes-Benz is taking a significant step forward in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its vehicles by introducing ChatGPT to enhance the voice control system. Through the MBUX Voice Assistant’s Hey Mercedes, users will experience a more intuitive and interactive voice control experience.

To kickstart this development, Mercedes-Benz has launched an optional beta program in the United States for over 900,000 vehicles equipped with the MBUX infotainment system.

Participation in the beta program is open to customers who can join either through the Mercedes me app or by simply saying, “Hey Mercedes, I want to join the beta program” directly from their vehicle. The beta program updates will be delivered over the air.
