Motorola has once again refreshed its premium lineup with the launch of the new Motorola Edge 60 Pro, a feature-packed smartphone that builds on the legacy of the Edge series.
Launched alongside the Edge 60, Edge 60 Fusion, and Edge 60 Stylus, the Edge 60 Pro stands out as the most powerful device of the new range, offering a blend of stylish design, cutting-edge specs, and refined software experience.
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro sports an elegant and durable design with quad-curved edges and full IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, a feature rarely seen at this price point. The smartphone also meets MIL-STD-810H standards for ruggedness, making it ideal for those who demand durability with aesthetics. Motorola continues its trend of offering distinctive Pantone-certified colors, which adds to the device’s visual appeal.
The display is another highlight — a 6.7-inch P-OLED panel with HDR10+ support, 1220p resolution, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Although it’s a slight downgrade from the 144Hz panel on its predecessor, the Edge 50 Pro, the screen delivers an impressive 4,500 nits of peak brightness, making it excellent for outdoor use.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset. This 4nm processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, offers a significant performance leap over the previous generation. Whether it’s multitasking, gaming, or productivity, the device holds up impressively.
The camera setup sees a modest upgrade. There’s a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor with autofocus. The front camera remains at 50MP, although the lack of autofocus may disappoint some users.
Battery life is another strong point. The Edge 60 Pro comes with a massive 6,000mAh battery supporting 90W wired and 15W wireless charging. However, both are technically downgrades from the previous 125W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 and includes Motorola’s AI-powered features. The retail package is thoughtfully put together, featuring a scented white box, USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and a color-matched protective case.
In summary, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is a refined flagship offering that retains the strengths of the Edge series while introducing meaningful updates. While not without compromises, it still delivers a premium Motorola Edge experience, making it a solid choice for power users and enthusiasts alike.
