Nahida Khan Announces Retirement from International Cricket

Pakistan cricketer Nahida Khan has recently announced her retirement from international cricket, bidding farewell to a remarkable 14-year journey representing her country.

Having made her debut in February 2009 against Sri Lanka, Nahida went on to leave an indelible mark on the sport, participating in three Cricket World Cups (2013, 2017, and 2022) as well as four T20 World Cups (2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018).

Expressing her gratitude, Nahida extended her heartfelt thanks to her support network. She acknowledged the unwavering support she received throughout her career and expressed her appreciation for her family, teammates, coaches, and the Pakistan Cricket Board for their invaluable guidance and belief in her abilities.

She also expressed her gratitude to the passionate fans who stood by her side, both in Pakistan and worldwide.

Nahida’s international cricket journey concludes with an impressive tally of over 2000 runs, accompanied by eight half-centuries, including a remarkable knock of 66 runs against Australia in Kuala Lumpur in 2018.

Notably, she also holds the record for the most catches in a single ODI innings, having taken four catches in a victorious match against Sri Lanka in Dambulla during the same year.
