Netflix has confirmed the release date for the highly anticipated second season of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, giving fans another reason to return to Hawkins.
Season 2 of the animated Stranger Things spin-off will premiere on Netflix on September 17, 2026, continuing the story shortly after the events of the first season finale. Netflix confirmed the release date in an update published on August 19.
The second season will once again follow the Hawkins Investigators Club as Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Nikki return for another supernatural adventure.
According to Netflix, the new season begins with the group attempting to return to their normal lives after the events of Season 1. However, strange phenomena soon begin appearing across Hawkins, threatening to disrupt the town once again.
The official storyline reveals that Valentine’s Day is approaching, but celebrations are interrupted by mysterious ghostly apparitions and a swarm of strange creatures. The Hawkins Investigators Club must uncover the truth behind the disturbances before another gateway to the Upside Down can be opened.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 cast
The main voice cast is returning for the second season.
Brooklyn Davey Norstedt will once again voice Eleven, while Luca Diaz returns as Mike. Benjamin Plessala will voice Will, with Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas and Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max.
Odessa A’zion is also returning as Nikki Baxter. Additional returning cast members include Brett Gipson as Hopper, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter and Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington.
How many episodes will Season 2 have?
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 is expected to feature 10 episodes, matching the episode count of the first season. Netflix’s official page lists the series with 10 episodes for Season 1, while current episode listings show 10 entries for Season 2.
The first season premiered on April 23, 2026, and was also made up of 10 episodes.
With Season 2 arriving in September, fans will not have to wait much longer to see the animated Hawkins gang confront another supernatural mystery.
