Changan’s new REEV pickup brings more power, technology and electrified performance at a lower price than the Toyota Hilux Revo G Automatic.
Pakistan’s pickup market is becoming increasingly competitive, and Changan Pakistan has added a new contender with the launch of the Nevo K50 Hunter REEV.
Positioned as the company’s first pickup and its first range-extended electric vehicle pickup, the model enters a segment traditionally dominated by established names such as Toyota.
Among its potential rivals, the Toyota Hilux Revo G Automatic stands out as a key competitor. The Hilux has maintained a strong reputation in Pakistan for ruggedness, reliability and durability, making it one of the country’s most recognised pickups.
The Toyota Hilux was introduced in Pakistan in 2017 and has continued to attract buyers despite limited major upgrades in the local market.
While the ninth-generation Hilux has recently appeared internationally, it has yet to make its official debut in Pakistan.

The Hilux Revo G Automatic uses a 2,755cc turbocharged diesel engine producing 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Its conventional powertrain is paired with a 4×4 drivetrain, offering the established capability associated with the Hilux name.

The K50 Hunter takes a more technology-focused approach with a 7.5-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice controls and a 40W wireless charging pad. It also offers ventilated front seats and a modern dual-tone cabin.
The Hilux Revo G Automatic focuses more on practicality and durability. Its cabin includes a touchscreen audio system with navigation and Bluetooth, fabric seats, rear cooling vents, keyless entry, steering-mounted controls and a multi-information display.
