Nishat Motors teases new Jaecoo electric SUV for PAPS 2026

The company is set to showcase its upcoming electric Jaecoo model at the Pakistan Auto Show in Lahore from September 18 to 20.

Nishat Motors has teased a new Jaecoo electric vehicle for the Pakistani market, with the upcoming model scheduled to make an appearance at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026. The company has created anticipation around the vehicle through a teaser showing a darkened SUV along with the message that something electrifying is coming.

The new Jaecoo model will be showcased at the Lahore International Expo Centre from September 18 to 20, 2026. While Nishat Motors has not yet confirmed the vehicle’s name, specifications or price, the teaser indicates that the company is preparing to introduce another electrified offering in Pakistan.

According to reports, the upcoming vehicle could be the fully electric version of the Jaecoo J5, a model already available in Pakistan in hybrid form. If the expected EV makes its debut, it would expand Jaecoo’s presence in the country’s growing electric vehicle market.

International specifications of the electric Jaecoo J5 provide an indication of what Pakistani consumers could potentially expect. The model is rated at up to 155kW of maximum power and 288Nm of torque, while its ground clearance is listed at 200mm. The SUV also offers a claimed wading depth of 450mm.

Charging capability is another major feature of the electric SUV. International versions support 130kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 30 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes. The vehicle uses a CCS2/Type 2 charging setup.

Inside, the J5 EV is equipped with a 13.2-inch infotainment display, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless charging pad and intelligent voice controls.

Other expected equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof with powered sunshade, powered tailgate, ventilated and heated front seats, powered front seats, ambient lighting and a 360-degree around-view monitor.

Nishat Motors is yet to announce the official Pakistani specifications, booking details or price. More information is expected when the company unveils the vehicle at PAPS 2026.
