Haider Ali’s explosive 68 and Shaheen Afridi’s three-wicket spell powered Gold past Whites in Multan.

Pakistan Gold secured their place in the National Champions Cup 2026 final after defeating Pakistan Whites by five wickets at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 173, Gold needed to complete the pursuit inside 32.1 overs to improve their net run rate and qualify for the title decider.

Despite entering the match after two defeats, they completed the chase in 28 overs to earn their first victory of the tournament and book a final against Pakistan Greens.

Haider Ali produced the standout batting performance for Gold, smashing 68 from 46 balls. His aggressive innings featured seven fours and three sixes and provided the momentum required during the crucial chase.

Saad Khan supported him with a composed 33 off 55 deliveries, while Kamran Ghulam added 30 from 35 balls with four boundaries. Openers Shamyl Hussain and Muhammad Akhlaq contributed 15 runs each before Mubasir Khan struck the winning boundary and finished unbeaten on 10.

Earlier, Pakistan Whites were dismissed for 172 in 41.4 overs after struggling against a disciplined Gold bowling attack. Captain Shaheen Afridi led from the front, claiming three wickets for 26 runs in his eight overs.

Hasan Nawaz was Whites’ leading run-scorer, making 55 off 74 balls with three fours and two sixes. Saim Ayub provided attacking support with 30 from 39 deliveries, including four boundaries.

Saad Masood scored 20, while Mohammad Wasim contributed 18. Shahzaib Khan fell for just two, while Haseebullah Khan and Usman Khan managed only three runs apiece. Khushdil Shah was run out for 12, and Saqib Khan added 11 from seven balls.

Mubasir Khan and Faisal Akram claimed two wickets each for Gold, while Razaullah and Mohammad Imran took one apiece.

The National Champions Cup 2026 final will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Pakistan Gold will now face Pakistan Greens for the championship, with Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan set to lead their respective sides in the title showdown.
