ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday directed the authorities to facilitate verification of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) at free flour distribution points.
The Prime Minister Shehbaz visited a flour distribution center where free flour bags are being provided to needy individuals by the federal government.

During his visit, he directed authorities at the distribution centers to facilitate citizens in verifying their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and to find a solution for those who only have a photocopy of their CNIC because the original has been lost.

The prime minister also directed the authorities to prioritize the distribution of flour bags to elderly persons and women, and decided to give away two bags instead of one to reduce the need for frequent visits.

During his visit, the prime minister interacted with people waiting to receive the free flour bags and lauded the commissioner and deputy commissioner of Islamabad for their excellent arrangements at the center, including proper seating arrangements to avoid long queues.

The prime minister expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made and expressed confidence that all related operational issues would be addressed on an urgent basis.
