On the eve of the elections, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the PMD foresees predominantly cold and dry weather in most areas, with very cold temperatures expected in the upper regions. However, Gilgit-Baltistan may experience partly cloudy conditions, and upper Punjab is likely to encounter cold winds.
In its synoptic analysis, the PMD highlights that a continental air mass currently dominates the majority of the country, significantly influencing the prevailing weather conditions. Over the past 24 hours, the weather has remained cold and dry over most parts of the country, with isolated rain reported in south Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and Thatha. Shallow fog was observed in certain plain areas of northeast Punjab.
