Islamabad, December 17, 2025: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released an updated weather forecast for Sindh for the next 24 hours, warning of continued dry conditions and persistent fog in upper parts of the province.
According to the PMD, dry weather will prevail across most districts of Sindh on Wednesday, accompanied by cold conditions during nighttime. Dense fog is expected to persist during night hours in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Mohenjodaro, and surrounding areas, which may reduce visibility on major highways.
For Thursday, the department has forecast dry weather across most parts of Sindh, with cold conditions expected during both morning and night. Fog is likely to continue in Upper Sindh, particularly in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Mohenjodaro, and nearby localities during early morning and nighttime hours.
PMD Fog Warning
The PMD has issued a warning stating that fog intensity and duration are likely to increase this week in Punjab, Upper Sindh, and the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, potentially affecting road traffic and flight operations.

The current synoptic situation indicates that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, while a shallow westerly wave continues to affect northern regions.

• Wednesday: Cold and dry weather is expected across most parts of Pakistan. Moderate to dense fog or smog may persist over Punjab, Upper Sindh, and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
• Thursday: Cold and dry conditions are likely to continue nationwide, with moderate to dense fog or smog expected in the same regions.

During the past 24 hours, weather remained cold and partly cloudy across most regions. Moderate to dense fog and smog persisted in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh.
