Officials are particularly concerned about the adverse effects of windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning on human life, agricultural crops, and infrastructures such as electric poles, vehicles, and solar panels.
During the last 24 hours, the weather conditions have included rain-windstorm and thunderstorm activity in several provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Upper Sindh. Notable rainfall measurements include 25 mm in Malam Jabba, 24 mm in Parachinar, and 23 mm in Kalam, among others.
The highest recorded temperatures yesterday reached 42°C in Kasur, with other regions such as Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana experiencing highs of 41°C. This spike in temperature comes amidst the ongoing severe weather alerts and adds to the challenges faced by the residents of these areas.
