Port Qasim Shipping Operations – April 14, 2025

Karachi, April 14, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily update on shipping operations for Monday, April 14, 2025, aimed at facilitating importers, exporters, and other stakeholders connected with the maritime industry.

The update, issued at 0800 hours, provides a comprehensive overview of shipping activity at Port Qasim over the past 24 hours, highlighting vessel movements, berthing schedules, and cargo handling operations.

Two vessels successfully sailed from the port on Monday. The M.T. SIYA RAM, carrying 25,000 metric tons of palm oil, departed from the Liquid Cargo Terminal (LCT) under the management of AL-PINE MARINE. Similarly, M.T. KK MARLIN, transporting 32,362 metric tons of MOGAS, set sail from FOTCO. Both departures were executed smoothly, contributing to the efficient flow of shipping traffic at the port.

In terms of berthing activity, multiple vessels arrived and were assigned to various terminals at Port Qasim. These included the M.V. IVS WENTWORTH, which berthed at PIBT to discharge 56,109 metric tons of imported coal, and the M.T. ASIA INSPIRE, handling a cargo of 30,409 metric tons of palm oil at the LCT.

Additionally, container vessels such as M.V. ELENI T and M.V. MSC ROBERTA were docked at QICT and QT2 terminals respectively, ensuring a continuous flow of containerized goods. The arrival of these ships reflects the strategic role Port Qasim plays in managing the country’s shipping and logistics supply chain.

The PQA continues to coordinate closely with ship agents like AL-PINE MARINE and GM SHIPPING OPERATION to ensure seamless berthing and sailing processes. This coordination helps minimize port congestion and maintains high standards in shipping efficiency.

Port Qasim remains one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime hubs, with its modern facilities supporting a wide variety of cargo types. As shipping operations continue to expand, the port is playing a critical role in boosting national trade, facilitating imports and exports, and strengthening Pakistan’s position in regional shipping networks.
