The update, recorded at 0800 hours, provides details of vessel movements and cargo handling over the past 24 hours.
Shipping Operations Overview
The shipping operations at Port Qasim continue to run smoothly, with vessels arriving, berthing, and sailing as per schedule. The authority reported the movement of various cargoes, including rice, bitumen, and containerized goods.
Sailing of Vessels
The following vessels departed from Port Qasim during the last 24 hours:
• M.V. ISKENDERUN M (PQA Reg No: 35381) – This vessel, with a length overall (LOA) of 177.00 meters, sailed carrying 24,116 metric tons of rice. It had an aft and forward draft of 5.70 meters and departed at 15:00 hours under the agency of Eastwind Shipping at M/W-I Berth.
• M.V. XPRESS SALWEEN – Departed at 23:00 hours from QICT-V.
• M.V. XPRESS MEKONG – Departed at 23:30 hours from QT2-I.
Berthing of Vessels
The following vessels berthed at Port Qasim:
• M.V. XPRESS SALWEEN – Berthed at 14:00 hours at QICT-V.
• M.V. XPRESS MEKONG – Berthed at 14:45 hours at QT2-I.
• M.T. BITUMEN KOSEI (PQA Reg No: 35454) – With an LOA of 103.00 meters, this vessel berthed at 18:00 hours carrying 4,400 metric tons of bitumen under the agency of Trans Maritime at M/W-I Berth.
• M.V. CAP ANDREAS – Berthed at 18:15 hours at QICT-VII.
• M.V. JARU BHUM (PQA Reg No: 35449) – This container vessel, with an LOA of 172.00 meters, berthed at 18:30 hours at QT2-II under the agency of MSC Pakistan.
