Karachi, May 7, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its daily update on shipping operations for Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

The report, issued at 0800 hours, outlines the maritime activities over the past 24 hours and serves as a crucial resource for logistics professionals, port operators, and other stakeholders involved in maritime trade.

According to the PQA, shipping operations at Port Qasim remained smooth and steady, with multiple vessels engaged in import and export activities. The report highlighted both berthing and sailing movements, reflecting the port’s vital role in maintaining uninterrupted cargo flow through its terminals.

During the 24-hour period, three container vessels sailed from Port Qasim after completing their loading and unloading operations. These included M.V. GFS JUNO, operated by Eastwind Shipping, which departed from berth QICT-V; M.V. HYUNDAI HONGKONG, managed by Ocean Network Express, which departed from QICT-VII; and M.V. MSC POSITANO, which sailed from QT2-I under the agency of MSC Pakistan. These departures underscore the port’s efficient coordination and scheduling of shipping operations.

Simultaneously, new vessels berthed at Port Qasim to begin their shipping operations. These included M.T. FSM, which arrived with a cargo of 2,166 metric tons of LPG and berthed at EVTL under Universal Shipping’s agency; M.T. ALFRED, carrying 75,000 metric tons of HSFO, which docked at FOTCO under Al-Pine Marine; and M.V. ONE REASSURANCE, which arrived in the evening and berthed at QT2-II. These arrivals indicate the port’s continued importance in handling both energy-related and containerized cargo.
