Punjab Weather Outlook for April 21, 2025

Lahore, April 20, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its official weather forecast for Punjab on Monday, April 21, 2025, predicting continued dry and hot conditions across most parts of the province.

According to the PMD, Punjab weather will remain mainly hot and dry in the majority of districts, with daytime temperatures expected to stay above normal. Citizens across central and southern Punjab should brace for rising mercury levels and dusty winds, particularly during afternoon hours. The department has also warned of dust-raising winds, which may reduce visibility and cause minor disruptions in exposed areas of southern Punjab.

While most of Punjab will stay dry, the forecast indicates a slight chance of weather activity in the northern regions of the country. Isolated places in Kashmir may witness rain, wind, or thunderstorm, especially due to the influence of a westerly wave currently affecting the upper parts of the country. This wave is expected to persist over the northern areas until Tuesday, bringing some relief from the heat in those specific zones, but its impact on Punjab is expected to be minimal.

For Sunday, the weather in Punjab followed a similar pattern—hot and dry across most districts. However, certain areas, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Attock, experienced thunderstorms and localized rain, with reports of hailstorms in higher elevation zones. These regions may continue to see occasional cloud cover and wind activity as the westerly system weakens.

Farmers and residents are advised to remain cautious in light of the current Punjab weather conditions. Dust storms in central and southern regions could affect travel and visibility, and precautions should be taken to protect crops and outdoor assets.

As summer gradually takes hold, the PMD recommends staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor exposure during peak heat hours, and staying updated on the latest weather advisories for Punjab.
