By securing this transfer, Jude Bellingham became the second most expensive English footballer, following Jack Grealish, for whom Manchester City paid Aston Villa £100 million in 2021.

Real Madrid’s midfield is currently undergoing a regeneration process, and Bellingham’s arrival is a significant part of it. The young English talent joins the ranks alongside fellow rising stars Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, as the club gradually transitions away from seasoned veterans such as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Madrid expressed their excitement, stating, “Our club has secured the signing of one of the most prominent talents in the world of football Bellingham joins us from Borussia Dortmund, having been recognized as the best player in the Bundesliga during the 2022-23 season. Furthermore, he is only 19 years old and has already established himself as a starter for the England national team.”
