Galaxy A16 5G Gets Stable Software Release
Samsung has also started distributing the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A16 5G. The update carries firmware version A166PXXU7DZE2 and includes the latest May 2026 security patch.
The download size is around 2.3GB, and the rollout has begun in India and Indonesia. The update is expected to improve device reliability while introducing the latest One UI features and optimizations.
Galaxy A17 5G Update Reaches Multiple Countries
The Galaxy A17 5G is also joining Samsung’s growing list of devices running One UI 8.5. The update comes with firmware version A176BXXU5CZE9 and includes the May 2026 Android security patch.
With a download size of approximately 2.4GB, the software is currently available in India, Nepal, France, Bulgaria, and Vietnam. Users in these regions can download and install the update over the air as it becomes available.
How to Check for the One UI 8.5 Update
Samsung users who have not yet received the One UI 8.5 notification can manually check for the update. To do so, navigate to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install on the device.
