The global pop star has rescheduled her highly anticipated performance at the Pyramids of Giza, citing regional circumstances and the safety of attendees.

Shakira has announced a new date for her highly anticipated concert at Egypt’s iconic Pyramids of Giza, postponing the performance due to the current circumstances in the region.

On Saturday, October 31, the Colombian singer took to Instagram Stories to inform her Egyptian fans that the concert, originally scheduled for April 7, would now take place on April 2, 2027.

In her message, addressed to her fans in Egypt, the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker expressed disappointment over the postponement, describing performing at the pyramids as one of her career dreams.

“Performing in Egypt at the pyramids is one of my career dreams and it truly breaks my heart that we have to wait a little longer to be together,” she wrote.

Shakira explained that the difficult decision was made because of the current regional circumstances, with everyone’s safety and well-being remaining the highest priority.

However, the singer reassured fans that she was determined to perform in Egypt, promising that the wait would be worthwhile.

“Egypt, I am coming! Our new date is officially April 2, 2027, and I promise it will be worth the wait!” she added.

The international superstar also thanked her Egyptian supporters for their patience, understanding and continued love.

She expressed excitement about finally singing and dancing with fans beneath the Egyptian sky, with the iconic pyramids providing the backdrop for what she hopes will be an unforgettable night.
