Karachi, January 30, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest shipping activity report for Thursday, January 30, 2025, providing valuable insights for stakeholders.

The report highlights the movement of vessels, including their berthing, sailing, and shifting activities at Port Qasim.

Sailing of Vessels

Over the last 24 hours, several vessels departed from Port Qasim, carrying various commodities. Among them was the M.V. Maersk Sentosa, a container vessel managed by GAC Shipping, which sailed from QICT-VII at 11:00 AM. Another significant departure was M.V. AL KYONI SB, which carried 1,983 metric tons of cargo and sailed from FAP at 11:30 AM. Additionally, the M.T. ARTEMIDA and M.T. EPIC BURANO departed from Port Qasim, transporting palm oil and LPG, respectively.

Berthing of Vessels

Several vessels berthed at Port Qasim during this period. The M.T. Milaha Ras Laffan, an LNG carrier managed by GSA (Pvt) Ltd., berthed at PGPCL at 10:00 AM, carrying 136,060 metric tons of LNG. The M.V. Marathopolis berthed at QICT-VII, while the M.V. APL Southampton docked at QT2-II at 2:30 PM. Furthermore, the M.T. KK Marlin, carrying ULSD, berthed at FOTCO, while the M.T. Meissa berthed at LCT with 25,049 metric tons of palm oil.

Shifting of Vessels

In addition to sailing and berthing activities, the report highlights vessel shifting at Port Qasim. The M.V. BW Matsuyama, a canola seed carrier operated by Ocean Services, was shifted within the port at midnight, ensuring optimal berth utilization.

Weather and Operational Conditions

Port Qasim continues to maintain smooth operations despite seasonal weather conditions. Authorities at Port Qasim are ensuring efficient cargo handling to facilitate trade activities. The port remains a critical hub for Pakistan’s import and export operations, handling significant volumes of liquid and dry bulk cargo daily.
