Austin Abrams battles zombies and terrifying monsters as Sony previews its second reboot of the iconic survival horror franchise.

Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the first official trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil reboot, offering fans a terrifying glimpse of the latest adaptation of Capcom’s iconic survival horror video game franchise.

The trailer, unveiled on July 23, follows Austin Abrams as Bryan, a courier whose routine delivery quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival after a deadly virus outbreak engulfs Raccoon City.

The preview opens with Bryan driving through the city’s dark streets on a late-night assignment before chaos erupts. A mysterious virus rapidly transforms residents into flesh-eating zombies and horrifying mutated creatures, forcing him into a relentless battle to stay alive.

As the outbreak spreads, Bryan must navigate the collapsing city while evading monstrous enemies and fighting through waves of infected survivors.

The action-packed trailer has generated strong excitement among fans, with many praising its darker tone and apparent faithfulness to the survival horror roots of the video game series.
