    Bank timings during Ramazan 2023

    KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday issued bank timings during Ramazan 2023 starting from Thursday March 23, 2023,

    The central bank in a statement said that during the ensuing holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak 1444 AH, the following office hours will be observed in the SBP, which will also be followed by all banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks:-

    Monday to Thursday from 09:00 am to 03:30 pm with prayer break from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm whereas on Fridays office hours will be from 08.30 am to 1:00 pm without break.

    However, it is further advised to observe the following business (banking) hours for public dealing:

    Monday to Thursday from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm without break whereas on Fridays business (banking) hours for public dealing will be from 08:30 am to 1:00 pm without break.

    After the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the above timings will automatically be reverted to pre Ramadan-ul-Mubarak timings.

    KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday issued new banking timings after federal government’s announcement of six days working in a week.

    The SBP in a statement said that as per decision of the Federal Government the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will observe six days working week with the following office hours during the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, which shall also be followed by all banks, Development Finance Institutions and Microfinance Banks:

    Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with prayer break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm whereas on Fridays office hours will be from 8.00 am to 1:00 pm without break.

    Banks / Microfinance banks are further advised to observe the following minimum business (banking) hours for public dealing:

    Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm without prayer break whereas on Fridays office hours will be from 8.00 am to 12:00 pm without break.

    KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday issued banking office and business hours during the holy month of Ramadan ul Mubarak.

    During the ensuing month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1443 A.H., the following office hours will be observed in the State Bank of Pakistan, which will also be followed by all banks / Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) / Microfinance Banks (MFBs):

    After the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the above timings will automatically be reverted to pre Ramzan timings.

    SBP revises bank timings

    KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday revised the office and public dealing hours of banks.

    The SBP said that in line with the decision of National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) to contain the spread of COVID-19, the SBP will observe the following office hours, which will also be followed by all banks / DFIs / MFBs till further orders:

    Bank office hours:

    Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (without break)

    Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (without break)

    Banks / MFBs have been advised to observe the following business (banking) hours for public dealing:

    Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (without break)

    Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (without break)

    Previously, the SBP issued bank timings during Ramazan on April 12, 2021. However, new timings shall supersede the instructions contained in BPRD Circular Letter No.10 dated April 12, 2021.

    KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday issued bank office and business hours during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak 1442 A. H..

    The SBP said that the SBP will observe the following office hours during the month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak, which will also be followed by all bank, Development Financial Institutions and Microfinance Banks.

    The bank office timings shall be 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (with prayer break from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm) during Monday to Thursday.

    On Fridays the bank office shall be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (without break).

    The banking hours for public dealings shall be:

    The banks shall observe banking hours from Monday to Thursday between 10:00am to 1:30 pm (without break). The banking hours on Friday shall be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (without break).

     However, except Friday, banks / MFBs may observe extended business (banking) hours for public dealing from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with 15 minutes prayer break) at their branches situated in major cities / business centers / commercial markets & hubs / ports etc.

    Banks to observe normal working hours from August 03

    KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that the banks will observe normal working hours from August 03, 2020.

    In a statement issued a day earlier, the central bank said that the SBP will revert to normal office timings from Monday, August 03, 2020.

    The timings shall be:

    Monday to Thursday: 09:00am to 05:30pm (with prayer/lunch break from 01:30pm to 02:15pm)

    Friday: 09:00am to 06:00 pm (with prayer / lunch from 01:00pm to 2:30pm).

    The SBP directed all banks, development financial institutions (DFIs) and Microfinance Banks to ensure compliance of the above mentioned timings in letter and spirit.

    The bank timings were reduced due to coronavirus pandemic. However, shrinking number of infections in the country the official timings are reverting to normal.
