    The FBR said that the officers would be on probation for a period of one year, extendable for a further period not exceeding one year, provided that if no order is issued by the day following the termination of probationary period, the appointment shall be deemed to be held until further orders.

    The officers already drawing performance allowance equal to 100 percent of the basic pay will continue to draw the same on their promotion.

    The FBR congratulates the officers on their promotion.

    FBR grants performance allowance to officials of MCC Preventive Peshawar

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has granted performance allowance equivalent to 100 percent of minimum of basic pay to Customs officials posted at Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive) Peshawar.

    In a notification issued on Tuesday, the FBR granted following inspectors of BS-16 of MCC Preventive Peshawar, who have been selected through the process of internal job posting, performance allowance equal to 100 percent of minimum of their basic pay (in pay scale 2011) with effect from October 07, 2019:

    01. Ilyas Iqbal

    02. Shahroz Khaliq

    03. Shah Fahad Khan

    04. Zia-ur-Rehman

    Grant of Performance Allowance will be governed through the terms and conditions laid down vide Circular No. 6(96)S(BIC)/2013-14 dated 06.03.2015 to be read with Para-10 of Finance Division’s O.M.No.1(3)/Imp/2015-360 dated 07.07.2015. The allowance will be discontinued in case prescribed terms and conditions are not fulfilled within one month from the date of issuance of this notification.

    FBR sacks senior auditor for availing plea bargain benefit

    ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed major penalty of ‘dismissal from service’ upon a senior auditor for availing plea bargain benefit in corruption case.

    The FBR on Friday said that Kashif Naseer, Senior Auditor, BS-16 posted at Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore had availed the benefits of plea bargain in terms of section 25(b) of National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 as per Accountability Court-III, Sindh, Karachi judgment dated May 23, 2019.

    Member (Admn), FBR after examining the case in light of provisions of the Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules 1973 imposed the major penalty of “Dismissal from Service” upon Kashif Naseer, Senior Auditor with effect from the date of conviction May 23, 2019.

    The FBR said that Kashif Naseer, Senior Auditor had a right to file an appeal to Appellate Authority under Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977 within a period of 30 days from the date of communication.

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday promoted 75 Data Entry Operator (DEOs) BS-12 to the post of Management of Information System (MIS) Officer BS-16 on regular basis with immediate effect and until further orders.

    The FBR has promoted top 75 senior DEOs, who were waiting for their promotions for a long time.

    Customs official awarded major penalty for corruption, misconduct

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed major penalty of ‘compulsory retirement’ upon a BS-16 officials of Pakistan Customs on charges of corruption, misconduct and inefficiency.

    According to an official note issued on Thursday the FBR said that disciplinary proceedings under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Mansab Shah, Inspector (BS-16), Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Lahore on account of “Inefficiency”, “Misconduct” and “Corruption” under E&D, Rules 1973 after placing him under suspension vide notification 25.03.2019.

    “On receipt of preliminary fact finding inquiry report, all charges were established.”

    A Show Cause Notice dated 27.03.2019 was accordingly issued to him and he was also called for personal hearing by the Authorized Officer / Collector, MCC (Preventive), Lahore on 28.05.2019.

    After considering the charges framed in the charge sheet and other available record, the Authorized Officer / Collector, MCC (Preventive), Lahore recommended to the Authority for imposition of major penalty of Compulsory Retirement.

    The Member (Admn) FBR being Authority in this case, after having considered all aspects of the case and the recommendations of the Authorized Officer has therefore, imposed the major penalty of “Compulsory Retirement” upon Mansab Shah, Inspector, under rule 4(1)(b)(ii) of the Govt. Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with immediate effect.

    The period of suspension of the accused officer w.e.f 25.03.2019 till date will be treated as a leave of kind due as admissible under the rules.

    The official shall have right of Appeal as admissible in the Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977.

    FBR appoints 49 IR Inspectors to strengthen field force

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday appointed 49 inspectors (BS-16) in Inland Revenue in order to strengthen the field force of tax offices.

    The FBR appointed the tax officials on the recommendations of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

    The FBR also notified place of posting of those officials.
