Honda to launch new electric bicycles
Honda announced today to launch three electric bicycles (EB) with stunning and bold look to facilitate youth of China.
The names of three Honda electric bicycle (EB) are Honda Cub e:, the Dax e:, and the ZOOMER e:. These bicycles have maximum speed of 25km/h or less.
The electric bicycles were inspired from Honda’s previous model released which are Super Cub, Dax, and ZOOMER.

These three models are also the forerunners of Honda’s goal to introduce a total of more than 10 electric motorcycles globally by 2025.
The company said to provide customers with the joy and freedom of mobility in the electric motorcycle era, and offer new value-added products through electrification and intelligent technological improvements and innovations, bringing more enjoyment and experiences to consumers.
Electric bicycles have not become more than a means of transportation, but an important vehicle for sharing their lives and expressing themselves, which has led to a demand for more attractive and value-added models in its segment.

Price, specs of Honda BR-V 2022 in Pakistan
Honda BR-V 2022 was launched in Pakistan on March 05, 2022. The subcompact crossover SUV was introduced in 2017 which received updates in every launch of new model.
The ex-factory price of Honda BR-V 2022 is Rs5,299,000 for its variant of i-VTEC S.
Honda BR-V is introduced in variety of colors which include Carnelian Red, Urban Titanium, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Morning Mist Blue Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.
Honda BRV 2022 is powered with a 1497cc 4-cylinder, engine which generates a maximum power of 88/6600 kW/rpm at a maximum torque of 145/4600 Nm/rpm.
The vehicle contains CVT transmission and has 4-cylinder engine of 1497cc. The 16 valve, SOHC i-VTech engine generates a maximum power of 88/6600 kW/rpm at a maximum torque of 145/4600 Nm/rpm.
Honda BRV has the fuel capacity of 42 liters. The mileage of the car is 11 km/l in the city and 15 km/l on the highway.
The front bumper with the modern grille is equipped with auto projector headlamps, daytime running lights (DRLs) and fog lamps.
The maintenance of the car is cost-effective because the spare parts are easily available in the market in lower prices.
The interior of the car is occupied with 7-inch display which supports the navigation system, smartphone connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity. The power outlet of the car only consumes 12V.

Price of Honda HR-V in Pakistan
The Honda Atlas launched the HR-V with two variants, VTi and VTi S. The price of the VTi variant is Rs5,999,000 and VTi S variant is launched with the price of Rs6,199,000.
The booking price of both variants is Rs. 13 lacs, however the delivery status may differ on the time of bookings.
Honda Atlas has offered the warranty which is valid for 3 years or 75,000 kilometers drive for its customers.
The HR-V variants are equipped with a 1.5Lnaturally aspirated engine carrying the capacity to produces 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque.

Honda plans to launch 30 models of electric vehicles
TOKYO, Japan: Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) is planning to launch 30 models of Electric Vehicles globally by 2030, according to a statement issued on Tuesday September 6, 2022.
The company on Tuesday announced that it has established a strategic partnership with Hanwa Co., Ltd. (Hanwa), a major Japan-based trading company, toward stable procurement of essential metals for batteries necessary for its electrified vehicles.

To realize carbon neutrality for all of its products and corporate activities by 2050, Honda is striving to make battery-electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCVs) represent 100% of its global vehicle sales by 2040.
Toward this target, Honda is planning to launch 30 EV models globally by 2030 with production volume of more than 2 million units annually.

For steady execution of its electrification strategy, Honda established a strategic partnership with Hanwa, a major trading company that has strengths in the field of resource procurement.
Through this partnership, Honda will ensure stable procurement in the medium to long term, of essential metals necessary for batteries such as nickel, cobalt and lithium, positioning the mined resources secured by Hanwa at the core.

Honda Motor reveals 92% growth in production worldwide
Honda Motor Co., Ltd announced world production for the period January – July 2022. The automobile company registered 92 per cent growth in production around the world.
Honda Motor revealed production of 2,257,187 units during first seven months of current year.

The production recorded 343,205 units in July 2022, up 106 per cent year on year (YoY).
The production in Japan grew by 98.4 per cent YoY in January – July 2022 to 373,833 units. Similarly, production in Japan increased by 97.3 per cent YoY in July 2022 to 61,568 units.
The report showed the production outside Japan climbed up by 90.6 per cent YoY in January – July 2022 to 1,883,354 units. Whereas, the production outside Japan surged by 108 per cent YoY in July 2022 to 281,637 units.

Production in main region showed Asia took lead with 102.3 per cent YoY to 1,175,451 units during January – July 2022. It was followed by China, USA and North America.
The report said that production in Japan was first YoY decrease in three months. Whereas, production outside Japan was second consecutive months of YoY increase. Worldwide production was second consecutive month of YoY increase.
Total sales of Honda Motor in Japan recorded 92.6 per cent YoY in seven months of year 2022 to 341,227 units.

The report showed total sales in Japan were first YoY decrease in two months. New vehicle registration was first YoY decrease in three months. Meanwhile, sales of mini-vehicles ware 12th consecutive month of YoY decrease.
Exports of Honda Motor registered 147.6 per cent YoY in January – July 2022 to 45,725 units. Europe was the leading market where exports jumped by 207.7 per cent. The company said that total exports from Japan were third consecutive month of YoY increase.

Honda continue to provide technical support for RBPT
JAPAN: The Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), which is the subsidiary of Honda Motors Co. Ltd on Tuesday agreed to provide technical support for Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT), relating to Formula 1 power units from 2023 to the end of 2025.
The press release issued on August 02, 2022 stated that in 2022, HRC has been providing PU-related technical support in line with Red Bull’s request to Honda, with both Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri therefore using the PU from the support program.

The extension of the existing agreement for HRC to continue providing technical support from 2023 to 2025 has now been mutually agreed between Red Bull and Honda.
Honda officially ended its participation in Formula 1 at the end of 2021, with the resources allocated to PU development diverted to meet the company’s future carbon-neutral goals.
The ongoing agreement between the two parties does not involve PU development, therefore HRC will be able to provide this service from within its current resources.

Dr. Helmut Marko, Motorsport Advisor, Oracle Red Bull Racing said, “We thank Honda for their positive response to working together. We are excited to continue our partnership in F1 until the end of 2025 with the PU supplied by Honda. We have had a successful relationship so far, winning the Drivers’ championship in 2021 and currently leading the Drivers’ and Teams’ classifications, with the aim of securing both 2022 titles.”
Christian Horner, Red Bull Powertrains CEO and Team Principal said, “Red Bull’s partnership with Honda has been an incredibly successful one and we are pleased that this will continue until the end of the current era of the FIA’s power unit regulations in 2025.”

Honda Cars declares 29% fall in quarterly profit
KARACHI: Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited on Tuesday announced a sharp decline of over 29 per cent recorded in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2022.

The company declared Rs658.2 million profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared with Rs928.22 million in the same quarter a year ago.
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited announced earnings per share (EPS) at Rs4.61 for the period under review as compared with EPS of Rs6.5 announced for the same quarter a year ago.

The board of directors of the company in their meetings held on July 26, 2022 approved the results and recommended no cash dividend, bonus shares or right shares, according to financial results submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to the financial results, the company declared sales of Rs30.24 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared with Rs21.764 billion in the same quarter a year ago.

The cost of sales increased to Rs28.33 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared with Rs20.17 billion in the same quarter a year ago.
This resulted in gross profit of the company at Rs1.92 billion as compared with same quarter previous year at Rs1.59 billion.
The overall expenses of the company rose to Rs821 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared with Rs231.25 million in the same quarter of the last year.
