    FBR takes notice of officials’ reluctance in joining new place of posting

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take departmental action against officials who are reluctant in joining new place of posting.

    In a circular issued on Wednesday, the FBR has taken notice that officials are not adhered to instructions laid down in transfer and posting orders.

    “The transfer and posting orders are issued with immediate effect but it has been observed that officers and officials do not relinquish the charge as per orders/notifications and board has to relieve them from their previous postings to join new place of postings,” the FBR said.

    Furthermore, as mentioned in each order/notification, that officers are required to relinquish and assume charge using online HRMS facility made available at all FBR major field offices or by using IJP login available to them. “However, despite clear directions on the same manual charge relinquishment and assumption reports are forwarded to the FBR as a practice which creates lot of administrative issues for FBR.

    Taking serious view of the non adherence of the administrative instructions, following instructions are being issued in this regard to be followed in letter and spirit in future:

    i. Officers will relinquish the charge within three days of transfer and posting orders, and will assume charge of new place of posting as per rules. In case of failure, action will be initiated for non-adherence to the Board’s instructions.

    ii. No manual charge relinquishment/assumption report will be entertained in board in future, and the officers are directed to do the same through using online HRMS facility made available at all FBR major field offices or by using IJP login. However if any difficulty arises in this regard, officers are directed to contact MIS officers posted at respective filed formations or Secretary (Automation/SSM).

    iii. The concerned ADC/DC HQ shall be personally responsible and ensure that all officers posted in and out of the field offices have assumed/relinquished charge as per instruction.

    iv. Chief Commissioners-IR and Director Generals-IR shall be responsible for the compliance of the board’s instruction in letter and spirit.

    FBR transfers 197 IRS officers in major reshuffle

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified major reshuffle in Inland Revenue Service (IRS) as 197 officers of BS-17 to BS-20 have been transferred under the latest order.

    To announce the transfers and postings of the IRS officers the FBR issued three different notifications.

    Following officers have been transferred and posted under the first notification:

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday notified transfers and postings of Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officers in BS-18 to BS-20 with immediate effect until further orders.

    The FBR notified transfers and postings of following IRS officers:

    01. Ms. Asma Aftab (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (IP/TFD/HRM) Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-I) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Karachi.

    02. Ms. Attiya Ali Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-VII) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-I) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore.

    03. Abdul Jawwad (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-I) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Commissioner, (Special Zone for Builders) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore. The officer is also assigned the additional charge of the post of Commissioner-IR (Special Zone for Builders and Developers), Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore till the posting of a regular incumbent.

    04. Abdul Hameed Shaikh (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Zone-I) Corporate Regional Tax Office, Karachi from the post of Commissioner, Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi.

    05. Muhammad Amin Qureshi (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue Corporate Regional Tax Office, Karachi from the post of Additional Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Karachi.

    06. Ms. Amra Sarwar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Secretary, (IR-Operations) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad from the post of Additional Commissioner, Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore.

    07. Akhtar Abbas (Inland Revenue Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue Corporate Regional Tax Office, Lahore from the post of Additional Commissioner, Regional Tax Office II, Lahore.

    The FBR said that the officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting.

    ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday announced transfers of senior customs officers of BS-20 and BS-21 with immediate effect and until further orders.

    Following officers of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) have been transferred:

    01. Muhammad Zahid (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Transit Trade, Karachi from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation, FBR, Islamabad.

    02. Abdul Rashid Sheikh (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation, FBR, Islamabad from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit & Internal Audit, Karachi.

    03. Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Transit Trade, Karachi.

    04. Ms. Zeba Hai Azhar (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Training & Research (Customs), Karachi from the post of Chief Collector, Customs Enforcement (Central), Lahore.

    05. Wasif Ali Memon (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit & Internal Audit, Karachi from the post of Chief Collector, Customs Enforcement (South), Karachi. The officer is also assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General, Risk Management, Karachi till the posting of a regular incumbent.

    06. Abdul Basit Chaudhry (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Input Output Coefficient Organization, Karachi.

    07. Dr. Zulfikar Ali Chaudhary (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi from the post of Chief Collector, Customs, Balochistan, Quetta.

    08. Faiz Ahmad (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Chief Collector Customs Enforcement (Central), Lahore from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Training & Research (Customs), Karachi.

    09. Dr. Saifuddin Junejo (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Chief Collector, Customs Enforcement (South), Karachi from the post of Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim), Karachi.

    12. Ms. Ambreen Iftikhar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Member, (HRM) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad from the post of Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad. The officer shall assume charge after superannuation of Mian Saeed Iqbal (IRS/BS-22) w.e.f 12.05.2020.

    13. Dr. Aftab Imam (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office, Quetta from the post of Chief Commissioner, Corporate Regional Tax Office, Karachi.

    14. Dr. Tauqeer Ahmad Memon (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office, Hyderabad from the post of Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Sukkur.

    15. Shahid Iqbal Baloch (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad (Stationed at Karachi) from the post of Chief Commissioner-IR, Large Taxpayers Unit-II, Karachi.

    16. Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue (OPS) Regional Tax Office II, Karachi from the post of Commissioner, Inland Revenue (Appeals-III), Karachi.

    17. Mohammad Farooq Azam Memon (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office, Sukkur from the post of Commissioner, Inland Revenue (Appeals), Hyderabad.

    The Officers who are drawing performance allowance prior to issuance of this notification shall continue to draw this allowance on the new place of posting.

    All above listed officers are requested to Relinquish/Assume charge, using online HRMS facility made available to FBR or by using their IJP logins.
